Materials Locations

A while back I posted the mob locator to find all the mobs and drops you need. Now, I've found a site with the locations of almost all the mats, http://janelh.wikidot.com/plants-and-minerals. You can search for items by location, or you can use ctrl+f to find what your looking for. All of the material names are from International, so if your looking for something in a different version, look for the image of what you want, and search for that item. They've provided you with images of all the mats. Happy gathering!

Auction House Goldmine

Many of my friends who are swimming in gold buy whatever currency the item shop uses with real money, then sell it for a ton of gold. But, for those of us who can't spend money to make gold, the auction house is a great way to go. The auction house is the way I make most of my gold by buying low and selling high. I look for a huge gap between the lowest price of an item and the second lowest price, then buy the lowest price. Next, I sell it for a little less than the second lowest price and wait. If you try to sell something that isn't the lowest price, then you may not sell it and the fees could put a dent in your profits. It's good to start out with about 50-100k of gold and some small sales, then work your up to the bigger deals. I hope this guide to gold helps you get the mount you've always wanted.

Perfect World International

Right now Perfect World MY isn't working on this computer, so I've decided to start trying out Perfect World International. This doesn't mean I'm switching games, I'm just trying out Perfect World International until Christmas, when I get my new computer. I will try to release a video comparing the two versions of Perfect World soon after I get my computer. I'm playing on the Heaven's Tear server of Perfect World International and my screen name is Thepizza.

Broken Computer Update

My computer has died : ( (I am making this post from a different computer) Unfortunately, I will not be able to make more videos until I get a new computer, which not be for a while. I might be able to play on and off for now, but this computer I'm playing on sucks, so it won't be as frequent as usual. I really wish I could put out more videos :_(

Frozen Realm

At level 51 I ventured, for the first time, into Frozen Realm. My guild mates helped me complete the dungeon and we killed all 3 bosses. Unfortunately I didn't know about the level 52 quest for Frozen Realm : ( This is the most confusing dungeon I've been in, and I couldn't even find where we were when I checked the map. Luckily someone else in the party did.

After looking at the video I managed to figure out the path we took and where we encountered all the bosses, and made up this map (I accidentally spelled "Fusha" "Fush"). Hope it will help you be less confused while traveling through this dungeon.

Awesome Perfect World Map

Usually I use the database at pw.rob-soft.com to get most of the information on monster drops and locations, which is still the most complete database I've found. However, AsiaPWorld.com has an actual map of Perfect World, with many monster location noted on the map. It works the same way that a Google map would. The database isn't complete and may have a few bugs, as it is still in beta mode, but it can be a very useful tool. Click for link to map.

The Arena

Here is just a short video I made detailing the aspects of the arena.

I hope to get a video of the Tomb Raider event posted within 2-3 weeks, unfortunatly the event is at 6:00 A.M. for me, so it is a little difficult to get a video of it.

Werebeast Skills - Part 2

The second part of the Werebeast Skills, Sorex demonstrates skills that can be used in tiger form for the second part of this video.

A nice trick to try to maximize your damage in tiger form, is to try to always have your enemies physical defense reduced, so you get the most bang for your buck when using physical attack skills.

Wolf's Den Solo

After my Cave of Fire solo, where I got all the way to the boss, but couldn't defeat him, I decided to solo another level 19 dungeon a little later. This time I soled Wolf's Den, the Beasts dungeon, and, while it is supposedly the hardest level 19 dungeon, I find it the most entertaining of them.

To view the purple drops that I received from this boss, click here. The dungeon run took longer than expected, so make sure you have at least 45 minutes to spare before trying to go for it.

Werebeast Skills - Part 1

Territory Update

This will be a short report, since nothing much has changed in the patterns of the territory wars, however news is arising that WarLord may be getting broken up, from the inside, out. This comes as a beacon of hope, that the casual guilds, like mine, will finally be able to enjoy territory wars once again.

GulesScales - FlyingDracon

As you may have noticed, I've joined a new guild called Lateralus. Every week we have Boss Day, which gives people the opprotunity to get all those pesky boss quests done. I happened to need to kill GulesScales - FlyingDracon, so here's a video of the action.

Of the rewards, I chose the waist adorn, since a staff would be pretty much useless to a Werebeast, however any magical based person should get the staff, even if you can't meet the requirements yet.

Overall/Territory Update

Now for the territory update. So as not to bore you with the long version of what happened over a span of 3 weeks, I'll sum it up for you in a few sentences. WarLord is still expanding, and continuing to capture and from Malaysia, who are losing ground (no surprise there). ReBorn and New Era have stayed just about the same, maybe with 1 or 2 more territories. The only other guild on the map is ALLIED, who we lost Orchis Serene Valley to, with only 1 territory. Lastly, WarLord and Malaysia are the only guilds in position to take the two level 1 territories, the only open territories left on the map.

Territory Update

There wasn't much activity this week. There were only three territory battles, and only one of them is worth noting. WarLord has once again attacked Malaysia, and it seems that are getting set to wipe the guild off the map. WarLord is also in a position to easily take over Ancient Dragon City. There are rumors that some guilds are formulating a plan to attack WarLord and retaliate. ReBorn is supposedly going to be a part of it. With an potential alliance on the way, WarLord might be in for a rough time next week. P.S. I am having technical issues with my computer, (I am making this revision from another computer) and will try to resolve the problem as soon as possible so I can start posting more videos and articles. I will make up for the lack of videos by posting extra videos.

Territory Update

So, WarLord has, once again, achieved victory, and conquered one of Malaysia's territories. However, Malaysia also captured a territory, and thus, kept the same number of territories. ReBorn captured their first level 2 territory, City of Feather. New Era did not attack or defend any territories this week. The only guild that controls less than seven territories is ALLIED, who is still holding on to their one and only territory, Orchis Serene Valley, after capturing it from us many weeks ago. WarLord was attacked by a guild this week, and I think that it is great that someone is trying to fight back. Unfortunately, they were defeated. WarLord's record is 16 victories, and 0 losses. Will anyone be able to stop them?

Scorpion Cave

After my Cave of Fire video, the only level 19 dungeon left to do was Scorpion Cave. This time, I really wanted to kill the boss at the end, so I went with a guild mate, jaffar459. Together we went through the dungeon, and these were our results.

When we died in the first part of the dungeon, jaffar459 was not carrying any potions, and I was but was not able to use them in time. Also, we aggroed too many monsters at once. After that mishap, we took the dungeon more carefully and made sure to avoid any extra enemies that might be wandering around. When we reached the Occult Drakas, the boss, we carefully planned out how to tackle him. We made certain that the battle would not be prone to bad communication. Careful use of potions and skills led to almost assured victory.

Territory Update

One more round of territory wars has passed by, and still WarLord, Malaysia, ReBorn, and New Era are the main guilds on the map. The only other guilds who own any territory are ALLIED and PandaCrew. Myth has lost their last territory, Walled Stronghold, to Malaysia. WarLord captured yet another level 2 territory, Dream Searching Port. Only 3 territories remain empty, and 2 of them are level 1 territories. WarLord is currently the only guild who is able to capture a level 1 territory. Due to WarLord's domination of the territory map, all of their members have massive amounts of gold. Because they hold so much gold, the price of Cubi-Gold is at about 140k per Cubi-Gold, and it shows no signs of dropping. This inflation is making players, including me, irritated. This negative effect of WarLord's domination might get some guilds to stand up and defy WarLord, which would be a welcome change. I have nothing against WarLord's members, but I would personally like to see them blown off the map. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that it will happen anytime soon.

Unicornu - OuranosWolven

This is a very quick kill of Unicornu - OuranosWolven, who is needed to complete Dragon Quest (41). This is the last thing you need to kill before you can receive your reward for this section of the Dragon Quest.

There really isn't much more to say about this elite. He's easy to kill, doesn't give good drops, and can be a little tricky to find. I was planning to have a video of Scorpion Cave posted this week, but I'm going to hold that off until next week, and try to kill the boss this time.

Territory Update

Another week has passed, and the shape of the territories has shifted. WarLord attacked the Mount of Lantern territory, and was also attacked at Peach Dock. They managed to capture the Mount of Lantern Territory, and fend off the attack at Peach Dock. It was still a good sight to see someone trying to resist WarLord's iron fist. Malaysia also captured a territory, Residual Mountain. WarLord and Malaysia both attacked the guild, Myth, when they captured there territories this week. Whether this is signs of an alliance, or just coincidence, it's hard to tell. New Era also some good headway this week, and captured City of Vanished, a level 2 territory. ReBorn has remained stable, and did not defend, or attack any territory this week. Next week should be interesting, as only four major guilds hold more than one territory on the map.

Cave of Fire Solo

Even though I am way past completing my level 19 dungeon, Wolf's Den, I wanted to see if I could solo a dungeon. I decided to take on Cave of Fire, the Human level 19 dungeon, alone. This was not only the first time in Cave of Fire, but it was also my first time to solo any dungeon.

I'm probably going to try again around level 55, so I can take another whack at the boss. I just couldn't last long enough against the boss's attack, and rapidly lost health. I was, however, glad that I made it through the rest of the dungeon. I soloed this dungeon especially for this video, so I didn't get any kind of quest reward. The only drops I received were gold, potions, and some low grade equipment. The boss, Throng Might, does have a very small chance of dropping gold molds, and he can also drop a range of equipment.

Chewy - Lord StyxShrew

After I got the quest to kill Chewy, the first thing I did was ask my guild mates if any of them could help. Unfortunately, none of them were available, but they were able to tell me where Chewy was. After receiving Chewy's location I flew there and asked if anyone in that area was looking to kill him. Lucky for me, I met a party and filled up their last spot.

If you didn't notice, I was the only person in our party that used melee attacks. Anyone else using melee attacks should make certain that they are not pulled away from the location where you should fight Chewy. I believe that the main reasons why the Elf Priest flew above the fight, was so that if an enemy in the area happened to stray close to him he wouldn't be attacked, and so that Chewy's minions didn't attack him.

Territory Update

Last week, WarLord had the most territories and showed the most power. This week, that hasn't changed. WarLord Is still expanding, and they aren't losing any of the territories they've gained. Also, during this last round of wars, WarLord became to first guild to capture a level 2 territory (a large town or city), City of Ethersword. The difference between level of territories is how much income each territory will give he guild each week. A level 3 territory gives the least income, a level 2 territory gives more than a level 3 territory, and a level 1 territory gives the most income. With the capture of a level 2 territory, WarLord now has the ability to capture a level 1 territory. The two level 1 territories are Ancient Dragon City and Thousand Steam City. The only competition WarLord seems to have is from Malaysia, ReBorn, and New Era. Malaysia has a very good foothold in the far north, ReBorn and New Era are more focused in the south west. Our guild had planned to try to recapture The Great Wall from PandaCrew (the guild we lost it to), but we got out-bidded by FCUK. FCUK, however, were not able to take The Great Wall away from Panda Crew's grasp.

Mardook - ShadeDismal Quest

Since I had already killed Mardook in my Heroes Tomb and Green Shirt Tomb video, I didn't bother getting another video of killing him. This time when I killed him, I had the quest to kill Mardook, Seal of Mardook. This is a level 40 quest which you get from Forrester. Once you accept the quest, you have 2 hours to go to Heroes Tomb, kill Mardook, and return to Forrester. Of course, if you fail or give up the quest, you can try again. As with the Will of Zhang quest, you get a piece of equipment as part of your reward. This time you get a helmet instead of gauntlets. There is a choice between a helmet focused on the five elements, and a helmet focused on more physical aspects. The picture below is a picture of the helmet I chose, the physical helmet.

Zhang - Ch'in Mausoleum General Fight

After I saw the Zhang chase that guy around the map, I was yearning to get to the quest to kill him. I finally got the quest and found Zhang roaming around the beaches far north of Fishing Village. When I saw a bunch of people grouped around the area where Zhang was I knew that they were planning on killing him. Here is the result of the ensuing battle.

I was a little disappointed by the drops, but immensely happy about the reward for the quest. I could easily tell that the people who fought Zhang had done it like this before due to their excellent coordination with each other. As always, an Elf Priest is essential this boss battle, as it is with almost all boss battles. Below is information about the gauntlets (wrist bracers) that I received for completing the quest.

Territory War on January 23

I was all ready to go to this war, unfortunately, however, fatigue got the better of me, and I overslept (the war was at 6:15 A.M. Central Time). We were defending The Great Wall against PandaCrew. We were unsuccessful in our defense and lost the territory. While the territory map changes every week, one guild is really letting themselves be known. WarLord controls 12 of the 34 territories, 6 of which are unoccupied by any guild. So, do the math and they control a little more than one-third of the map. They show no signs of backing down, and some people even predict that they will eventually control the whole map. As of now, only the biggest, and most dedicated guilds in the game are still holding on to a substantial part of the map. Because of this trend, territory war videos may become less frequent.

Gouf - StyxTauren Chief

I recieved the cultivation quest to kill Gouf - StyxTauren Chief and I went to the location where it said he would be, but he wasn't there! After half a day of searching and two days of trying to get a party I finally killed Gouf.

To see the equipment I wore during the fight click here. With a good Elf Priest, the Werefox in the party can be about level 45 instead of having to be around level 50. If you are unfortunate enough not to find a Werefox for your party, then a level 60 Werebeast could take the place of the pet. With a good Elf Preist, of course.

Territory War for The Great Wall

On Saturday, Febuary 16, 8:09 P.M. (6:09 A.M. - Central Time), we had another territory war. This time, the war was for control over The Great Wall, and we fought Ch3m1c4l for it. We were on offense for the first time ever in a guild versus guild territory war. My party members were Sethia (Vice Guild Matser), Willtcong, Yavanna, sakurA, and elffy.

After the war we all celebrated by teleporting to our newly captured territory. Another position I took up while serving as a lookout at gate eight, was on top of the towers that were gaurding the gate. That position provided a little bit more distance to my view. If you would like to know exactly what the the territory war battlefield looks like, and what is on the battlefield, click here to get complete information from the official website.

Haunted Grotto

I have reached level 39, and with that level comes the Iron Blood Tablets to the Haunted Grotto. This video is my very first trip through the Haunted Grotto, so I didn't know anything about what was inside. I had about four or five quests when I went into the grotto and complete all but one in one trip. I'd like to thank guildmates Elliot and GooFyBoy for their help with this video.

I had around 2800 health at full health, so the explosions from the deaths of the monsters took out about 1200-1400 health per explosion. When you encounter Farren Serenity, do not forget about his area of effect attack, and tell anybody who won't be able to handle it to stay far away. Also, I recieved information, after the video was completed, that Sparky Igneous does not explode when he is killed. If you would like to know exactly what the bosses in Haunted Grotto can drop, use the mob locator that I have a link to in one of my earlier posts. The grotto can be difficult to manuver through and find the boss your looking for, so I have provided a map with the locations of the bosses labeled.

Heroes Tomb and Green Shirt Tomb

This is simply a run though of Heroes Tomb and Green Shirt Tomb. Heroes Tomb, unlike Green Shirt Tomb, is not an instanced area, although it may appear to be. The only reason for speeding up this video was to fit it in the 10 minute time limit for most YouTube videos. Sorex, Rosiland, Muha, and Necross all helped to make this video possible.

It was a mistake when I said that the average party level should be 45. I meant that it should be about 35. If you notice, Muha was actually killed right before entering the final room, which shows that, even to a high level person, this dungeon can still be dangerous. Anyone below level 30 should try to avoid even entering the final room to not take the risk of being targeted and killed by the monster's area of effect spells. The boss's bodyguards are the only non-elite enemy's in the dungeon, but they still pack a punch. When I first went thorugh this for my level 29 cultivation, I did stay clear of the final room and let the high level people take out the boss.

Zang - Ch'in Mausoleum General Chase

After killing some monsters for a quest, I return to Fishing Village and find nearly everyone dead and a fiery beast is rampaging through the town. I was lucky enough to have my video recorder ready, and I captured this exciting footage. I, actually, almost decided not to follow this chase, because I was too bust trying to complete quests and level up.

I'm not exactly sure why the boss seemed to lose intrest in the Elf Priest when it did, but now I believe that the Elf lost his wings because he was out of mana. Judging by the amount of damage the Elf took with each attack, I would have to say he was probably somewhere around level 60. I will most definetly put up a video of a fight with this boss when I am a high enough level or get a good party to fight him with. After I recorded this I spent a lot of time around Fishing Village, and this boss actually arrived a few more times, but was never dragged as long as this one.

Territory War

We had another territory war in Orchis Serene Valley on January 26, 8:15 server time (Malayasian time). Unfortunatley, I was not able to be a part of this war, and, thus, did not get a video. The war was against ALLIED, and we lost our territory this time around. I do not know much about the fight, considering that I was not there, but I will try to gather some information from guild members and update this post with more to tell you. We do not control any more territories, so we may not have a territory war for a few weeks. Once again, I will try to get information on when our next war will be so you can know when to expect another video. P.S. Please vote on the poll on the right side of your screen so I can better understand what you want to see. If you have any suggestions please post a comment on my YouTube channel here.

Valor Territory War

I was finally able to join in one of Valor's terriory wars. We were defending Orchis Sere Valley (for the 2 time). It was a pretty hard fought battle, and we used Ventrilo to communicate through voice chat. On this video, I actually sped up the action by quadruple time, or else this video would be about 40 minutes long.

After one of the longest 3 hours ever, we finally claimed victory! Some people shot off fireworks at the end and we all cheered. Ence, our usual guild leader, somehow got his computer blown up, (don't ask) so Sethia took over and lead us throughout the entire fight. Hopefully, I will have another video of a territory war up next week as well.

Darkwolven Lord Kill

I've been around the Temple of Orchid for many quests, and almost every time I go there I see someone asking for a party for the Darkwolven Lord. I had already seen the Darkwolven Lord outside of Temple of Orchid and wondered when I was going to get to kick some @$$!

So, this boss and be a real pain if you don't have a high level person in your party (preferably somewhere around level 60) to soak up most of the damage, and, luckily, I was able to get one. That is the only real trick to killing the Darkwolven Lord.

How To Find The Mob Or Drop You're Looking For

Have you ever had trouble finding a good place to get a certain drop from a monster, or just finding a mob that you've can't seem to find anyhwere? Want to Fly...Underwater!?

Here's a neat little trick that I discovered where you can fly underwater on your flying mount. First you, of course, have to get out your flying mount. Then, take your flying mount over a body of water, such as a river or lake. Next, fly a little bit above the water. It doesn't really matter how high you fly. Then, disable your flying mount so that you start falling. Finally, enable your flying mount again RIGHT BEFORE you hit the surface of the water. You should hop back on your mount UNDERWATER! Sadly, however, when you move underwater on your flying mount, the game automatically, gradually, pushes you back to the surface. I did find this to be a pretty cool trick, and I hope you have fun with it!

Having Trouble With Boss's Minions?

You know what I hate. When your going in for the big Boss kill and the Boss's "little helpers" come in and kill you! There is as easy and effective way to avoid being attacked by all the Boss's minions at once. First, you either need to be a Werefox or have a Werefox in your party. Second, you need to make sure that the Werefox has a pet (it's very unlikely that they won't). Now for the technique used to draw only ONE minion away from a Boss. Start out by having the Werefox, or yourself, send in the pet to attack the Boss's minions. Then, put away the pet and take it back out quickly. If done correctly, only ONE of the minions should keep going for the pet. There's an easy tip on how to conquer the big bad Boss.

Level 19 Dungeon Raid

Here's a little dungeon raid of Wolf's Den, the Beast's Level 19 dungeon. We have a high level party so it was pretty easy, but still loads of fun
That was only the first part of my party's half hour raid. Now here comes the second part

Now for the last part of the dungeon. Then the BOSS!

Hope you enjoyed that little raid, and don't forget to come back again for more Perfect World videos, tips and tricks, events and other fun stuff.
